About me

I have two university degrees. The first is a BSc in Honours Microbiology, earned “with Distinction”. The second is a PhD in Microbiology. Both are from Canadian universities.

I am not an expert in English language. But I have liked English grammar since I was a boy, and have done academic writing. I carefully research everything I put on this web site. In other words, I study what is written by real experts and share it with you.

I live in Alberta Canada.

Here are some of the important injunctions of 16th Century theologian Menno Simons, who founded the Mennonite church:
“True evangelical faith cannot lie dormant; it clothes the naked; it feeds the hungry; it comforts the sorrowful; it shelters the destitute; it binds up what is wounded; it heals the sick; it becomes all things to all people.”

Extracts from Holocaust survivor Eli Wiesel’s 1986 Nobel Prize speech:

“When human lives are endangered … that place must – at that moment – become the center of the universe …”

“As long as one child is hungry, our lives will be filled with anguish and shame.”

“What all these victims need above all is to know that they are not alone …that when their voices are stifled we shall lend them ours …”

“Our lives no longer belong to us alone; they belong to all those who need us desperately.”
